This Privacy Policy describes how ChartYourAstrology LLC ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects the personal information you provide when using Chart Your Astrology ("the Service") at chartyourastrology.com. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information when you use our Service:
Account Information: Your email address and password (managed by Firebase Authentication).
Birth Chart Data: First name, middle name (optional), last name, date of birth, time of birth (optional), and city/location of birth. This data is required to generate your astrology reports.
Payment Information: Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not receive, store, or have access to your credit card or bank account details. Stripe may collect billing name and address as required for payment processing.
Marketing Consent: If you opt in during account creation, your email address and name may be used to send you occasional updates and offers. This is entirely optional.
Usage Data: Standard server logs may record your IP address, browser type, and pages visited for security and performance monitoring purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected solely for the following purposes:
→ To generate personalized astrology reports based on the birth data you provide.
→ To create and manage your user account.
→ To process purchases and fulfill digital product orders.
→ To store and retrieve your saved charts and purchased reports.
→ To send transactional emails (account confirmation, purchase receipts).
→ To send marketing emails, only if you have provided explicit consent.
→ To respond to support requests sent to our support email.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling beyond generating your astrology report.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We share data only with the following trusted third-party processors, each bound by their own privacy policies:
Google Firebase (Authentication & Database): Manages user accounts and stores your chart data securely. Firebase is a Google service subject to Google's Privacy Policy. Your email address and birth chart data are stored in Firebase.
Stripe (Payment Processing): Handles all payment transactions. We never receive or store your full payment card details. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant. See Stripe's Privacy Policy at stripe.com/privacy.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any other third parties for their marketing purposes.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with the Service.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly from your Account Settings page at chartyourastrology.com/account. Deletion takes effect immediately and is permanent. If you need assistance, you may also contact us at support@chartyourastrology.com.
Note: Stripe retains transaction records independently for their own legal and compliance obligations. We cannot delete records held by Stripe. Downloaded PDF reports are yours to keep and are not affected by account deletion.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:
→ HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.
→ Firebase security rules to restrict data access to authenticated users.
→ Stripe's PCI-DSS compliant environment for all payment data.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including:
→ Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
→ Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
→ Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data at any time via Account Settings, or contact us at support@chartyourastrology.com.
→ Opt-out of marketing: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.

7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at support@chartyourastrology.com and we will delete it promptly.
